Canopy: Claude Code desktop app for Linux

Canopy is a Claude Code gui for Linux, shipped as an AppImage. It runs Claude Code sessions in a native desktop window with an inspector, a git worktree sidebar, and a per-worktree browser tab.

system requirements

A recent Linux distribution with glibc 2.28 or newer. AppImage support is required. Claude Code is downloaded separately.

install in four steps

  1. Download the .AppImage file.
  2. Make it executable: chmod +x Canopy-*.AppImage.
  3. Run the AppImage and open a project folder.
  4. Start a Claude Code session from the launcher.
