Canopy: Claude Code desktop app for macOS

Canopy is a Claude Code GUI for macOS. It runs Claude Code sessions in a native window with an inspector, a git worktree sidebar, and a browser tab assigned to each worktree.

macOS 11 Big Sur or newer. Works on Apple Silicon and Intel Macs. Claude Code is downloaded separately.

install in four steps

  1. Download the .dmg file for your chip.
  2. Open the .dmg and drag Canopy into Applications.
  3. Launch Canopy from Applications and open a project folder.
  4. Start a Claude Code session from the launcher.
